Dealing with Acid Loops in Cubase
Cubase is a great music production tool but importing pre-made loops just isn't that easy unless you have loops in the correct key and tempo, then it is a breeze. If you you are trying to import a loop that is in a different tempo, Cubase does have a time stretching tool but the results are not near as impressive as they should be.
Here is an easy (and of course free) solution to importing loops made in different keys or tempos into Cubase.
Download the free version of Acid HERE:

The free version only allows for 10 tracks at once but for our purpose, we only need one. Open the loop or loops you want to use in your Cubase project, adjust it to the time and key you wish and click on 'save song' That's all there is to it. Your saved "song" will be your loop, perfectly transposed and stretched with Acid's patented technology and ready to drop into Cubase.
Simply run all of the loops you like to use in your Cubase project through Acid like described above and you have all of your loops ready to go. You will find that this really goes quite fast with Acid's instant preview function and you can already experiment and find out which loops will work well together in your project. |
